Introduction: Climate change is the most pressing existential threat of the 21st century. Building environmental resilience—the capacity of ecosystems and communities to absorb environmental disturbances and adapt to change—is crucial for survival.

Causes of Climate Change: The primary drivers are anthropogenic activities, including the burning of fossil fuels, rapid industrialization, and widespread deforestation, which significantly increase greenhouse gas emissions in the atmosphere.

Effects of Climate Change: Rising global temperatures lead to melting polar ice caps, sea-level rise, and frequent extreme weather events like cyclones, floods, and droughts, threatening global food security and biodiversity.

Role of Individuals and Government: Individuals must adopt sustainable habits such as reducing carbon footprints, conserving energy, and minimizing waste. Governments must enforce strict environmental regulations, transition to renewable energy, and invest in green infrastructure.

Responses (Local and Global): Locally, initiatives like coastal afforestation, cyclone shelters, and climate-resilient agriculture are vital. Globally, adherence to international frameworks like the Paris Agreement and climate financing for vulnerable nations are essential.

Conclusion: Combating climate change requires unified action. By fostering environmental resilience through sustainable policies and global cooperation, we can safeguard our planet for future generations.
